In this episode of The Struggling Entrepreneur, we deliver a repurposed blogpost from The Marketing Spot Blog (at www.themarketingspotblog.com) that was posted by Jay Ehret, who is on twitter @themarketingguy.

The topic concerns a formula that can be used by entrepreneurs for getting local Public Relations — and in many cases, for FREE.  It includes some research on your part and communication to reporters and journalists. And also, a case study of a local theater is included.

In this episode of The Struggling Entrepreneur, we deliver a discussion with Peter Kingley, a small business owner who has brought into his entrepreneurial venture several businesses including performance coaching, entertainment and hypno-therapy.

As you will hear in this audio episode, Peter Kingsley has a background as a sports athlete, as well as a Corporate manager and media Television interviewer.

However, his passion rose with the study of the human mind, and he mixed that with his desire to be his own boss and begin his entrepreneurial venture.

But, like most entrepreneurs, his excitement overshadowed the skills and requirements and knowledge of running his own business. He explains the challenges in finding the right resources, contacts, fit and knowledge of his market to really pinpoint the strategies in which he can succeed.

In fact, Peter Kingsley has been able to take his passion of hypnotism as a therapy and leverage it as a bonus in the area of helping business managers, sports athletes and even entrepreneurs in giving them the abilities to overcome mental obstacles — especially in the area where entrepreneurs may feel that they are “not good at sales or marketing.”

As described in the interview, he has several brochures that describe his value as an entertainer and hypno-therapist.

It is this direction for the market he entered that has allowed him to get engagements with the Comedy Club and Comedy Store locations in the U.S.This interview took place at the Cospace co-working location in Austin, Texas, and so we apologize for some background chatter. However, we feel that you will enjoy his sharing of his experiences and his suggestions for entrepreneurs who also want to enter the arena of “coaching” or the world of entertainment in their own businesses.

And, yes, Peter Kingsley is from the United Kingdom — and his British sense of humor comes through, along with his charming accent.
