10- Paul Colligan- Entrepreneur and Industry Authority

In this episode of the Struggling Entrepreneur, we have an interview with Paul Colligan, a man of many talents. He is not only a co-author of an Industry book, The Business Podcasting Bible, but he is a successful online marketer, Internet Marketer, Affiliate Marketer, Podcaster, and instructor of various courses concerning new media, including the mentioned Podcast Secrets.
In this episode, we delve into the background of Paul Colligan himself–how he started in the business world, his experience in Corporate America “with the day job, the big building and the suit…” to his launch of his own enterprises in the web design and instructional professional development skills world, all the way to becoming an entrepreneur to follow his current passion–the world of new media.
During the episode, Paul gives his perspective of the decision-making anxiety of the corporate employee when the choice to become an entrepreneur has to be made. He reflects on the impact of the book by Michael E. Gerber titled The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It. In addition to his perspective of the lessons learned from his experiences, Paul also gives some recommendations for those either considering starting a small business or launching into entrepreneurship.
Paul is very active in a myriad of blogs and affiliate sales programs, podcasts, webinars, training courses and personal speaking appearances. His current projects include the launching of his service for publishing and promoting a podcast with a built-in affiliate program called PremiumCast. His podcasts include Blog the Media, Ask Paul Colligan, the Affiliate Guy, PodcastTools, Marketing Online Live, Electronic Marketing Interviews, Profitable Podcasting, Big Seminar Live and Zune Brothers–just to name a few. Paul is a Microsoft VIP and has been an Industry authority and speaker at worldwide events such as the Podcast Academy, Podcast and New Media Expo and other new media conferences. He also has a subscription-based service, New Media Inner Circle.
With these credentials and his experiences, Paul is an excellent role model for the dreamer who wants to reach the 10th “commandment” from the book, The Business Podcasting Bible: “Thou shalt Live the Freedom Lifestyle.”
